Since my last visit MIR has moved to a new office.  The new office is in a good location, not far from a metro stop.  There are now two office rooms, a kitchen, and two guest rooms.  The staff have worked hard to repair, clean and paint it.

Valery Work Station

This is Valery Nosenko at his work station.  Valery serves as Executive Director of MIR, and he has assumed responsibility for much of the day to day operations.

Katya Workstation

Katya Plusnina is one of the newest employees of MIR.  She spends much of her time arranging for letters of invitation for visiting workers.  Most of the equipment you see has been donated by supporters in the U.S.

Office Ceiling

Here is an "after" photo of the ceiling in the office.  It is very ornate and typically Russian.  Ceilings are often high to give the appearance of space even when rooms are small.
